What each team member worked on

  • Jackie Shi: Working the collisions and tutorial. Also the new display setting
  • Gibbs Geng: Workinng on the tutorial and added coin system to the main scene.
  • John Rice: Working on the glass display, environment, and refinement.

  • Jackie Shi: Working the collisions and tutorial. Set up the reset mechanism
  • Gibbs Geng: Tuned the parameters for better flying experiece and also worked on the tutorial

  • Jackie Shi: Implemented the start menu for the game, tune the parameters for better flying experiece
  • Gibbs Geng: Tune the parameters for better flying experiece
  • John Rice: Continued working on the environment

Week 6 snippets

What each team member worked on

  • Jackie Shi: Implemented the pannel for the player to see the statatics of the plane, the first version of sideway rotation, and help Gibbs to for better movements details (set limits for rotations)
  • Gibbs Geng: Implemented the smooth plane moving for sideway rotationns and speed change mechanisms
  • John Rice: Continued working on the environment (added a much established scene)
  • Roman Kudryashov: Worked onn the speed for the plane

New features/functionality implemented

  • plane moves with sideway rotations and speed changes by controller rotation and using the trigger to enable
  • two complete area to explore.

Week 5 snippets

What each team member worked on

  • Jackie Shi: Workded on implementing the trigger to active the controllers, imrpoved upon Gibbs's additions to allow the plane to rotate.
  • Gibbs Geng: Implementing the plane moving, up down, left right, with rotation of the controller.
  • John Rice: Built one environment with free asset, started to build second with the mountain asset pack.
  • Roman Kudryashov: Worked on adding final touches to the plane movement such as speeding and slowing.

New features/functionality implemented

  • Plane moves up down, left right, by controller rotation and using the trigger to enable
  • Completed one area of environment of our Unity game/app using a free asset.
  • Started two more areas with mountain asset pack.

Week 4 snippets

What each team member worked on

  • Jackie: Added the airplane model to the game, and helped on the button and controller rotation binding to moving mechanics.
  • Gibbs: Worked on the button and controller rotation binding to moving mechanics
  • John: Worked on designing and testing the environment with some more assets.
  • Roman: Worked on the button and controller rotation binding to moving mechanics.

New features/functionality implemented

  • Added model for airplane with two versions.
  • Added two scripts of sample code for button binding
  • Implemented a naive version of the plane moving up and down using controller’s rotation.

Week 3 snippets

What each team member worked on

  • Jackie Shi: Worked on setting up the unity project and the proof of concept codes. And will add the inside of an airplane 3d model.
  • Gibbs Geng: Continue working the website for the team project. And will Figure out how to do controller position/rotation binding to some moving
  • John Rice: Worked on the preparation of the presentation on Tuesday. And will Start on making our environment together with Jackie
  • Roman Kudryashov: Worked on Starting PRD and helped with the presentation. And will figure out how to do button binding to some moving

New features/functionality implemented

  • Start on making our environment(testing out what’s a possible scope Oculus Quest 2 can handle)
  • Make the project pitch
  • Finished the PRD
  • Figure out Controller event binding to different movings of the airplane and how we want to move the plan.

  • Implementing up and down moving (didn’t find in the XR toolkit and is currently working on implementing it ourselves and controller position/rotation bindings)
  • Still in assets hunting and will see how that goes. Current environment runs fine: we may want to push and see how much OQ2 can handle.

  • Jackie Shi: Worked on setting up the unity project and the proof of concept codes.
  • Gibbs Geng: Worked on putting up the website for the team project.
  • John Rice: Worked on the preparation of the presentation of project pitch.
  • Roman Kudryashov: Worked on Starting PRD and helped with the presentation.

New features/functionality implemented

  • The setting up of XR development
  • Added environment of our Unity game/app using a free asset.
  • Added the moving system
  • Adjusted the moving system and the look of hands/controllers.
