What We Have Accomplished

This week we gave the gallery a new look along with adding a new object and improving existing objects. We added a sci-fi inspired gallery that helps the viewer become immersed in the artwork within our gallery. We also added a new object that reacts to the user’s hand movement. Whichever side the user’s hand is closest to turns green while the other sides remain red. While this is just a basic object for now, we plan to use this new hand tracking capability to improve this shader as well as the ones on our older objects. We also improved the shader on our spinning object to change the rate of its motion in reaction to user movement. These changes make the gallery more immersive and fun to interact with.
