Weekly Summary

This week, we spoke with Timea, which was a good portion of the progress that we made because we were able to solidify what her desires were for the vision of this project and align her views with our own. Through this conversation, we gathered more insight into her process of creating her ceramic pieces, which is essential to our project since we are mimicking this process in our project. She also gave us some resources that she utilizes throughout her artistic process to use as references going forward. Additionally, we were able to solidify our goals for each week leading up to the MVP and the target project, as well as some potential stretch goals that we could achieve. We researched further into softbody physics and how we want to implement the properties of ceramic through VR, as well as which assets could potentially help prevent us from starting from scratch.

Team Member Contributions

Zoe: Zoe contributed to the PRD by completing the summary and project overview sections, as well as edited the PRD upon completion.

Joanie: Wrote snippet 2, created and wrote snippet 2 as well as wrote the risks section of the PRD.

Emi: Emi created the outline for the PRD, as well as researched into which assets or code packages we might want to use and/or purchase in order to complete our project.

Madrona: Madrona focused on the weekly schedule section of the PRD, where we determined who will be doing what each week to reach our goals. Additonally, Madrona created the Unity project for us to start building on.

All team members brainstormed on ideas regarding the MVP, the target project, and the stretch goals that we want to reach towards throughout the quarter. Additionally, every team member participated in the Zoom calls with Timea to confer about the project and finalize our goals for the quarter.

New Features

  • PRD has been completed
  • Unity project shell has been created and pushed to Git

Files for Review

  • PRD

Blocking Issues

  • We are still not entirely sure what assets would be most effective for us to start building our version of soft body physics from. We foresee that this will take a good amount of experimentation.
